STAFF PHARMACIST

Education: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy required
Licensure: Licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and such license is in
good standing

Skills/Other:
• Possess good interpersonal skill, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and problem solving skills
• Able to read and write printed material in English
• Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as a team
• Must be customer-service minded.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and/or do minor maintenance on all pharmacy equipment, printers, computers and telecommunication equipment with adequate training in the pharmacy. Must be familiar with pharmacy software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
• Required to work with pharmaceuticals and chemicals 100% of time
• Work performed in normal office environment, with no exposure to extremes in lighting or noise
• Yearly physical will be required, and will be provided by the hospital for individuals who work with cytotoxic drugs
• Required to follow health system and departmental policy regarding dress
• Must maintain clean and safe working environment
• Must be proficient in parenteral compounding using aseptic techniques
• Required to find answers to medication questions from all customer sources (physicians, nursing staff, and other allied professionals) from all available sources.
• Familiar with all duties and procedures performed by technical staff
• Flexibility in scheduling essential, with proper notification to meet departmental workloads
