Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. BSN required. RNs with a minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Certification: Current CPR certification
Experience: Must possess current hospital experience (within past 5 years) or be a new nursing graduate (within past 6 months). Nurses, who do not meet this requirement, must show proof of successful completion of an approved refresher course. Prefer minimum of one year’s experience in pertinent clinical specialty.
Skills/Other: Must be willing to work with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations. Works independently as well as functioning as a team member and charge nurse as assigned. Capable of adapting to changing environment. Practice is consistent with Ohio Board of Nursing standards and regulations.
