ASSOCIATE CNO-MVHN
The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) provides executive operational and strategic leadership support to Miami Valley Hospital North Campus in partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and the Miami Valley Hospital Executive team. The ACNO is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the Emergency Department, Patient Care Unit 2, Patient Care Unit 3, Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, and support services for these clinical areas. In addition to the direct responsibilities, the ACNO is accountable to support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate resource management related to patient care. She/he is responsible for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a facility level. She/he is responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care areas and works with leaders at MVHN to develop and maintain hospital operations to include capacity management and staffing, standards of productivity, standards of care, scope of service, policies, regulatory compliance, and high-quality expectations.
The ACNO is responsible for strategic development of approaches to capture revenue, ensure the departments are running on target for budget, and develop/evaluate processes to ensure efficiency.
The ACNO has a matrixed relationship with the surgical services team, Preadmission Testing/Outpatient Diagnostics Nursing, Outpatient Infusion Services for nursing process and values. She/he will work collaboratively with other departmental leaders and administrative staff to implement the hospital strategic plan and provides on-site leadership presence for all hospital staff.
