Premier Orthopedics – Upper Valley Position Title: Athletic Trainer Summary of Position The clinical support staff is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and direct supervision of the center’s physicians or practice manager. Nature and Scope The clinical support staff works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider. A patient base of 1,000 to 3,000 patients is served and 20-50 patients are seen each day; resulting referrals, correspondence, reports, and phone calls are handled. Qualifications 1. Undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program 2. Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and Licensure, or license eligible as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio; maintains current certification with CEU requirements for both credentials 3. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred 4. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians. 5.
