Job Title: Breast Imaging Workflow Coordinator
Unit: Breast Center
Shift: Full Time -Days 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.(40 hours/week)
Facility: Atrium Medical Center
The Breast Imaging Workflow Coordinator or Administrator facilitates service to Premier Breast Center patients who need breast imaging. The coordinator or administrator will work directly with the patient, providers, Breast Center staff, central scheduling and Radiologists. This position will have full understanding of multiple information technology systems that will include EPIC, PACs and PenRad. The essential duties of this position include but are not limited to:
· Answering phones and facilitating patient and provider requests
· Daily review of patient schedules to ensure correct orders and appointments are scheduled correctly per department protocols
· Obtaining and validating orders, scheduling diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds and breast biopsy procedures
· Obtaining images and presenting to Radiologist for procedure review
· Coordination and scheduling 6-month follow-up studies
· Facilitate outside imaging requests
· Requesting and uploading prior imaging studies from outside organizations
· Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the patients and the breast centers
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED
Additional requirements:
Preferred educational qualifications: Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care preferred. Some knowledge of computer applications is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
Preferred experience: One year of experience in medical/patient care preferred. One year of office/computer experience preferred.

§ Computer skills, including basic keyboarding and mousing skills and Windows
§ Ability to utilize the following systems for processing information for archiving & retrieving images & reports as well as train new staff members in their use & application in the administrative environment:
· Radiology Information System
· Picture Archival & Communication System (PACS)
· Electronic medical record
· Dictation system
§ Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy & medical terminology
