CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- This position requires a physician, MD or DO, licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.
- An advanced degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field is highly desired.
Work Experience/Knowledge
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare management and strategic planning leadership; broad experience across hospital and physician practice operations in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated track record of leadership in driving change, breaking down silos, and advancing a vision of high reliability and quality across the system.
- Experience in developing quality, safety, and performance improvement programs with a demonstrated record of achieving exceptional results to include comprehensive knowledge and understanding of evidence-based medicine and multiple quality improvement tools and principles.
- Experience in leading within a complex integrated delivery system across acute, post-acute, and ambulatory spectrums of care.
- Successful track record of providing effective administrative and physician leadership while developing physician engagement and driving clinical quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and their integration into quality data gathering improvement processes, clinical operations and support of strategic initiatives.
- Successful record of relationship building and effective communication across an organization, including physicians, senior management, clinical leaders, staff, and patients that has resulted in confidence, trust and credibility with others.
- Demonstrated experience and results in developing physician leaders and holding them accountable to achieve results in their respective areas.
- Proven track record of managing multiple external stakeholders (community leaders, local and state government, physicians, outside partners, vendors, etc.) and developing creative win-win partnerships/alliances.
- Demonstrated experience in opening up new markets and channels to achieve growth, as well as experience with mergers and acquisitions and system integration efforts.
- Solid understanding of the business management and financial implications critical to the long-term success of an organization.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements, reimbursement requirements, the cost of care, and the evolving healthcare delivery system.
