Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire. RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Certification: Current CPR certification
Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred. If a new grad RN (in the past 12 months) is selected, the Versant Residency Program is required unless the candidate has 6 months experience practicing / working as a Registered Nurse in the same type of setting (acute care to acute care, for example). This program does not apply to anyone who graduated more than 12 months ago with no current RN experience. A 3 year post-residency work commitment to Premier Health is required. Skills/Other: Must be willing to work with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations. Works independently as well as functioning as a team member and charge nurse as assigned. Capable of adapting to changing environment. Practice is consistent with Ohio Board of Nursing standards and regulations.
