Education/Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelors Degree in Management or related field required
  • Masters Degree in Management or related field preferred
  • ARRT or related specialty required

Experience

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Medical Imaging operations required
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of Medical Imaging management
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment and applications required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various information systems within a hospital environment and how the information is utilized by the Medical Imaging Department to monitor service and performance
  • PC skills and understanding of commonly used software packages
  • Demonstrated track record in developing a good rapport with physicians and other customers
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with ability to interact with other hospital specialties
  • Personal Characteristics
  • Possesses interpersonal qualities that result in credibility within the business unit/organization
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a willingness to take the initiative in leading change, as well as the ability to effectively manage change
  • Energetic and enjoys working with people at all levels of the organization
  • Possesses ability to interact with physicians to develop trust and credibility with physician customers while creating a system of responsiveness to customer needs
  • High level of “personal ownership” in future success of the Medical Imaging Department and Miami Valley Hospital
  • Ability to identify issues and problems and proactively implement changes, strategies, and resolution in a logical and timely manner
  • Passion for customer service with commitment to service excellence
  • Goal-oriented and highly motivated, while enjoying change and challenge
  • Strong communication, verbal, and listening skills required; must be articulate and demonstrate ability to represent Department to administration, Medical Staff, and other services
