III. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - Other skill requirements of all or some incumbents.
1. Education:
a. High School Graduate required.
2. Licensure:
a. Current Ohio EMT-Basic required; Intermediate or Paramedic preferred
b. Current Ohio EMS Instructor required
c. Current BLS Provider required; Instructor preferred
3. Experience:
a. Pre-hospital healthcare experience required (minimum of 5 years)
b. Broad knowledge base of EMS including local and state rules, regulations, principles, policies, and procedures
c. Knowledge of principles of adult learning and clinical teaching
4. Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
a. Ability to communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills
b. Ability to function within a team environment, interact with employees, students, faculty, staff, and public
c. Ability to critically think, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks
