EPIC PROGRAMMER/ANALYST
General Summary/Responsibilities:
Premier Health utilizes the EPIC system as the electronic medical record (EMR) in which patient health information is entered and stored for the purpose of securing patient clinical information and enhancing patient care. Premier Health employs multiple Epic Teams that specialize in a range of applications within the Epic EMR.
The Epic Programmer Analyst is responsible for application configuration, deployment and support, change documentation, and will educate and inform staff on EPIC functionality. The individual will anticipate business needs and think with a business owner mind-set based on a strong fundamental knowledge of the system, and the organizational infrastructure to recommend solutions that enable the enterprise to achieve its goals. These responsibilities require the individual to stay current with the systems and/or applications as well as coordinate across multiple and varied teams to deliver solutions for the enterprise. This position will include on call responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
Additional requirements:
- Type of degree: Associate Degree with 2-4 years job experience or Bachelor Degree with 0-4 years job experience
- Area of study or major: Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
- EPIC certification in primary area of responsibility within 6 months in position is required.
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
Other experience requirements: Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
