JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy required.

Licensure: LSW, PC MFT Required. Current license with the State of Ohio

Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

Certification: CPI required by end of probationary period. CPR required by end of probationary period.

Experience: A minimum of three years post-Masters degree of experience in a health care setting, mental health setting and/or Alcohol/Drug Treatment Program agency setting is preferred.

Skills/Other: Strong Communication and Clinical Skills, including competency in diagnosing, along with knowledge of community resources.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Strength - Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 30 pounds.

Stooping- Bending of the body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Reaching - Extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.

Handling - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s). Fingers are involved to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch.

Fingering - Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Feeling - Noting attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly of that of fingertips.

Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, quickly and in the English language.
