ER TECH/HUC

Education Required: High School completion / GED

Certification Required: Current BLS certification required at the time of hire

Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
Preferred experience: Medical terminology

Other experience requirements:
Successful completion of one of the following:
1. Nurse’s aide training course within the last five years.
2. Six months direct patient care experience within the last twelve months.
3. Currently enrolled in nursing school with the completion of core nursing classes.
4. Six months experience within an acute care setting.
5. EMT Basic

Knowledge/Skills:
o Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
o Basic computer knowledge
o Strong organization skills
o Effective interpersonal and communication skills
