EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

Education:                 B.S. in Exercise Physiology or related field required

                                    Experience in Cardiac Monitoring

Certification:              Certification or experience and training equivalent to those

                                    specified for an exercise specialist by ACSM

                                    Current BLS Certificaiton

Experience:               Experience in exercise program planning, supervision and

                                    counseling of cardiovascular and pulmonary patients.

Preferred Qualifications:   M.S. in rehabilitative exercise physiology or related field

                                    ACLS certification

Skills and Abilities:   Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with

                                    strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with patients,

                                    families, physicians and other health team members.  

                                    Analytical skills necessary to assess, plan, implement and

                                    evaluate patient care.  Ability to prioritize delivery of care

                                    based on patient and unit needs.
