Position: Facilities System Coord-MVH 

Department: Building Maintenance

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

Status: Full-time/80 hours per pay period

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital 

The MVH Facilities System Coordinator is responsible for the configuration, management, development, risk mitigation, and the appropriate use by internal and external users of all MVH Facilities information systems. The FSC is responsible for facilitating the system software/hardware upgrades as well as the standardization of information management systems and for Facilities processes across the MVH Hospitals and free-standing ER Facilities including MVHN, MVHS, Jamestown ED, Austin ED and Beavercreek ED. Additional responsibilities include training and advising Facilities staff in all aspects of functional design and information processing related to the use of all Facilities information systems.  The FSC will coordinate and collaborate activities with each MVH hospital site Facilities staff/leadership and other department stakeholders that may be affected using Facilities information systems.  The FSC is responsible for evaluating future system needs and for making recommendations for improvements in workflow processes. The FSC will assist in providing data analysis for sound decision making in the areas of budget, capital, staffing, workflow, productivity, and preventive maintenance requirements.  Other duties may be required as needed.

The FSC coordinates problem resolution for facilities related applications for all MVH employees who use those systems.  The FSC will collaborate with other Facilities leadership team members to ensure software and related processes are compliant with all regulatory codes and agencies.  The FSC will be responsible for the development and implementation of audit tools for all Facilities departments in respect to appropriate software usage, documentation, and reporting to meet all state and federal regulatory requirements.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required:  High School completion / GED

Additional requirements:

Area of study or major: Computer science, business, engineering, IT

Preferred educational qualifications: Associates Degree

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required:  1 - 3  years of job-related experience

Prior job title or occupational experience: System programming or system maintenance experience preferred

Preferred experience: Experience in system management, computer science, data processing, or related field preferred. Experience in hospital facilities work preferred.

Other experience requirements: Demonstrated ability to work independently and without direct supervision, time management, ability to organize, detail oriented and methodical approach to work, critical thinking skills, strong PC skills, public speaking, understanding of healthcare regulations and standards (CMS, Joint Commission)
