Job Title: Facilities Technician
Unit: Building Maintenance
Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Status: Full-time/ 80 Hours Per Pay
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital South
General Summary/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance, repair and operation of buildings and MEP systems. Work includes preventative maintenance, repair and working with contractors. Completes all work order and PM work orders to meet JC (JCAHO) requirements and other regulatory agencies. Must be available and respond to any building/system emergency shut downs or repairs. Complies with policies and procedures and all customer satisfaction standards. Ensures compliance with all regulatory and code requirements for the building, equipment and systems

Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED

Area of study or major: HVAC, construction, drywall repair, painting, building maintenance or electrical systems
Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree or formal certificate

Licensure/Certification/Registration
Certified in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or boilers preferred

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job-related experience

Prior specific functional responsibilities: Construction or building operation including HVAC, electrical, boilers, plumbing systems, or other approved work experience

Knowledge/Skills
Familiar with hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, HVAC tools and plumbing tools
Must be able to read and use instruction manuals, blueprints, use computers and other specialized tools and equipment.
Ability to work with multiple interruptions and still concentrate, paying close attention to details at all times.
