Licensure/Certification/Registration
▪ Valid Ohio RN license
▪ The following certifications are required at the time of hire:
a. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
b. Certified EMT-B OR Professional Nursing Certification preferred
▪The following certifications are required within the specified timeframe following hire:
a. 90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS
b. 1 year – Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Advanced Trauma Life Support (audit only)
c. 2 years – CAMTS approved Nursing certification and Certified EMT-P in the State of Ohio
 

Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A
Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A
Preferred experience: Pre-hospital or critical care transport
Other experience requirements: Minimum of 3 years recent active experience in Emergency Department or Critical Care
•Special Consideration: If the candidate has a minimum of one year of previous experience with CareFlight Air & Mobile Services as a Paramedic, they must have an additional 4000 hours critical care experience as an RN in an ICU or an emergency department to be eligible to reapply to the program as an RN. This is in lieu of the above required 3 years’ experience.
