HEAL COORDINATOR - RN
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensure: Current Ohio RN Licensure
Training/Experience:
• One year experience in obstetrical/neonatal care delivery preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, genetics, pregnancy, labor, delivery and neonatal intensive care preferred.
• Certification in obstetrical/neonatal care preferred
• Prefer 1 year experience caring for families in perinatal crisis and/or bereavement support.
• Prefer RTS Counselor & RTS Coordinator training
• Able to differentiate helping behavior versus rescue behavior
• Knowledge and understanding of Patient/Parental Rights in the event of perinatal crisis.
• Knowledge and understanding of group dynamics
• Experience in program development preferred.
• Diverse with respect to spiritual, emotional and cultural needs of individuals and groups.
• Membership in local, state or national organizations related to perinatal crisis and/or death & dying preferred.
Skills/Other:
• Excellent listening/communication skills
• Utilization of knowledge of anatomy and physiology in caring for a body in the postmortem state including skin care, optimal thermal regulation and body changes.
• Possess coping mechanisms necessary in the presence of death and dying.
