Lead RN – Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab
Full time/80 hours per pay Days/ 0700-1530 The Lead Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Nurse is responsible for supervising employees, in all phases of the nursing process in the Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Department. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Lead Nurse functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing based on evidence based principles. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Lead Nurse coordinates & directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team and is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards and institutional policies and procedures. The Cardiac/Pulmonary Lead Nurse provides physical, emotional, spiritual & psychosocial support for the cardiac/pulmonary patients/families/significant others. Performs patient assessments, planning, implementation, education of patient’s risk modification and outcome evaluation of the cardiac/pulmonary patient. Develops & revises the exercise prescription plan based on the guidance of the Medical Director. Acts as a resource for the physician & other healthcare team providers. . |
Graduate of accredited program of professional nursing required.
Licensure:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of
Certification:
BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire
Experience:
Two years clinical nursing experience with at least one year in a critical care setting required.
Skills:
· Proficient at EKG interpretations. Excellent communication skills and able to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
· Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry and record maintenance.
· Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
