FULL TIME / 8P-6A INCLUDES WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS
80 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD
The Lead Operator will serve as a resource and leader for the Telephone Office as well as to internal and external customers of Premier Health. The Lead Operator is responsible for orienting, training and scheduling staff members of the Telephone Office. The Lead Operator will demonstrate a positive attitude and model behaviors which result in quality patient experience. In this position, it is required to maintain excellent customer service standards always to effectively communicate with physicians, patients, hospital staff and public. Must treat all callers and staff with dignity and respect following the Premier Core Values and behavior standards.
The Lead Operator is also responsible for the duties of the Telephone Operator which may include processing incoming, outgoing, networked, interdepartmental calls, maintenance dispatch, emergency notifications, monitoring and providing notification for hospital alarms, and providing patient information.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED

Prior specific functional responsibilities: Prior Experience
Preferred experience: Preferred Experience – Call Center or Operator Experience

Knowledge/Skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Overall knowledge of telephone systems, alarms, emergency notification systems and use of audio/radio/computer paging systems required
Excellent organization skills
Computer and keyboard skills
Proven customer service skills
In depth knowledge of hospital departments and services and ability to communicate/explain them to callers
