Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: Medical-Legal experience in a Health Information Management department or related experience, i.e. healthcare billing, physician office. Associate degree, HIM, in lieu of medical-legal experience.
Other experience requirements: Medical Terminology or completion of medical terminology course within 3 months of hire.
Knowledge/Skills
- Must display excellent telephone techniques.
- Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and written.
- Must have data entry skills and be familiar with the use of a keyboard.
- Notary of the Public preferred. If not currently, employee must obtain commission within 4 months of hire.
