Education: Associates Degree required.
Licensure: N/A
Certification: Licensed in a skilled trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Building/Maintenance operations along with a working knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory codes governing hospital and building operations required. 3 to 5 years experience in managerial/supervisory capacity required. Proven skills in maintaining a large healthcare facility and successful customer experience history.
Skills/Other: Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care facility maintenance. Must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills and deal with a wide variety of customers including staff, customers and patients. Ability to read blueprints. Computer literacy and ability to learn and work with facility systems (work order). Skills/Other:Must possess excellent management skills and must also have a working knowledge of plant equipment technology; general maintenance practices; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; plumbing; medical gases; boilers and steam generating plants; electrical power systems and emergency power systems; fire detection, alarm and suppression systems; vertical and horizontal transport; buildings maintenance; and JCAHO, OSHA, NFPA, EPA and other applicable federal, state and local codes and standards.
