Experience:               Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Building/Maintenance operations along with a working knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory codes governing hospital and building operations. Minimal 4 years’ experience in managerial/supervisory capacity. Previous experience that demonstrates successful negotiating and coordinating skills working with outside contractors is preferred.
 
Skills/Other:              Ability to read blueprints & instruction manuals. Computer literacy and knowledge to work with MVH computer systems and software.
 
DIMENSION/SCOPE
Manages 3 Team Leaders providing 24/7/365-day facility operations.
Shares Budgetary oversight for $12 million dollar spends (expenses) & MEP capital of $1 to $4 million/year. Physical/facility space: > 3.2 million square feet (interior); > 1.5 million square feet of parking garages and flat lots; 7.5 acres.
 
Serves as key point person at MVH for Joint Commission Utility Management and continually updates MEP Systems, develops contingency plans for the organization and works with outside engineers/contractors to assure the facility is maintained in a manner that allows organization to meet regulatory compliance.
