MGR- PROVIDER COMPENSATION
Position Summary
The Provider Compensation Manager leads the development, administration, and continuous evaluation of compensation programs for employed providers, with a primary focus on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This role ensures that compensation structures are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy. The Manager is responsible for conducting market benchmarking, performing compensation reviews, modeling compensation scenarios, and supporting leadership with data driven recommendations.
The position serves as a key resource to operational and clinical leaders, offering guidance on compensation plan design, interpretation, and implementation. The Manager develops, updates, and maintains compensation policies, procedures, and governance standards to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment across the organization. Additionally, this role oversees annual compensation processes and creates communication tools, education, and materials to help leaders and providers understand compensation methodologies and program updates.

Knowledge/Skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, analyze complex compensation issues, and make sound, data driven decisions.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills, with the ability to effectively partner with clinical, operational, and executive leaders.
In depth knowledge of provider compensation principles, market benchmarking methodologies, and industry standards for APP and physician compensation.
Understanding of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements related to provider compensation, including fair market value (FMV) and commercial reasonableness (CR).
Ability to develop, interpret, and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and the use of compensation or analytics tools to support recommendations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.
