Position Summary
General Summary/Responsibilities:
Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of
radiopharmaceuticals. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the
administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities
of the Nuclear Medicine department including radiation protection practices. Exercises professional judgment in the
performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in
other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

▪ Position specific testing requirement: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration
▪ CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
▪ Nuclear Medicine registry required
▪ ODH licensure required
▪ ARRT RT ( R) and/or NMTCB required

Knowledge/Skills
▪ Knowledge in anatomy and physiology
▪ Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules & regulations
▪ Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
▪ Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage
