General Summary/Responsibilities:
The NP - TELEBH (APRN) is practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher who collaborates with inter-disciplinary team and advocates for an optimal experience for patients/families. He or she demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing and is committed to evidence based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics
The APRN functions in a versatile role that serves as a central contact for behavioral health intake and provides overnight behavioral health coverage (7pm to 7am) across all Premier Health ED locations and other outlying facilities via tele medicine and onsite work location. The psychiatric nurse practitioner participates in clinical decision making, care plan development, and prescribing practices based upon qualifications through licensure, accreditation, certification, education, job expectations, and standard care agreement.
