Position: Pre-Admin Test Nurse
Department: Admission Discharge
Facility: Atrium Medical Center
Shift: Part-time Days/ Varied Hours/ 40 Hours Per Pay Period
The Onsite PAT RN is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The PAT RN provides clinical access management by performing risk stratified assessments via telephone or during a PAT visit to collaborate and communicate with the multidisciplinary team caring for patients requiring Anesthesia Services. The PAT RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The PAT RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles and established "Premier Health Pre-Procedure Anesthesia Guidelines" to care for a diverse patient population within the department scope of service.
The PAT RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry. The PAT RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by their interprofessional team. The PAT RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.
