PRE-CERT/PATIENT ACCESS COORDINATOR
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED
Preferred educational qualifications: Associates Degree in Health Information Management or related healthcare field preferred. Business/Secretarial courses.
Position specific testing requirement: Must be proficient in Windows-based computer technology, including keyboarding and typing at least 30 wpm.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Medical Terminology certification preferred.
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
Preferred experience: Two years previous physical/occupational/speech benefit and pre-certification experience – hospital or physician’s office preferred. Customer service, general clerical/office, hospital, medical office/clinic, or insurance company. Applicable class work may be substituted for previous work experience.
