RECOVERY SPECIALIST

PART TIME/ TH 11P-7A F 5P-12A SA 8P-7A/ 52 HOURS PER PAY


The Recovery Specialist functions as the provider of community support services.   The Recovery Specialist functions to support and guide community care services by developing and working a recovery plan model, including areas of daily functioning, social integration and a plan for a task-ordered day.  Services are provided in-home to adults diagnosed with severe mental disability.  The Recovery Specialist also assists in the planning and development of outcome-effective recovery services.  This position maintains an ongoing working knowledge of the recovery model of care and uses that knowledge to coordinate services.  As applicable, Specialist responds to all emergencies and provides assurance of overnight security and safety of the home and residents. The Home Health Care Recovery Specialist assists a team of recovery specialists that creates and fosters personal choice, personal responsibility and active participation in daily activities. 


The recovery specialist helps the client manage basic living skills which include:

  • personal hygiene
  • diet
  • exercise
  • cooking
  • cleaning

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school degree or equivalent certification.
  • Working knowledge of community agencies and resources essential to the care of clients.
