Education:

Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

Additional requirements:

§ Type of degree: Applied Science or its Equivalent

§ Area of study or major: Respiratory Care

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

§ Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License

§ Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).

§ BLS certification required.

§ Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - RPSGT through BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnography Technicians) or Registered Sleep Technologist - RST through ABSM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine.)

Experience:

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience

Prior job title or occupational experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Knowledge/Skills:

§ Must have a working knowledge of all areas of treatment modalities such as CPAP, BiLevel, and other commonly used sleep strategies.

§ Demonstrated ability to educate patients.

§ Basic computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office
