Position Summary
General Summary/Responsibilities:
A registered polysomnographic technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, scoring of records, patient care and patient education.

Must have the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential issued by the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologist or Registered Sleep Technologist credential issued by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

· Follow “lights out” procedures to establish and document baseline values such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory heart rates, etc.
· Insure signals during testing are artifact free and make adjustments as necessary.
· Follows appropriate workflows for scoring and data retrieval.
