Full-Time / Day Shift / 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 

The Resident and Fellow Physician Recruiter serves as a link between residents and fellows, local, state, and national, and Premier Health’s physician recruitment team to provide a viable and reliable pipeline for current and future recruitment needs.  The Resident and Fellow Physician Recruiter is charged with actively building positive relationships with Wright State residency and fellowship programs, connecting with residency and fellowship programs throughout the state of Ohio and on a national level, and providing physician support services to enhance the resident or fellow experience and relationship with Premier Health.  The position also is charged with collaborating with residency and fellowship program directors and coordinators to answer questions or inquires related to physician recruitment and physician support services and disseminating information about current Premier Health physician opportunities directly to residents and fellows via networking and recognition events.   


The Resident and Fellow Physician Recruiter manages coordinated outreach efforts and consistent communication to residents, fellows, and residency and fellowship programs, and tracks which candidates express interest or inquire about Premier Health physician opportunities.  The Resident and Fellow Physician Recruiter meets on a regular basis with the System Director of Physician & APP Recruitment and VP of Academic Affairs for strategy discussions and sharing of information.   


The position is also responsible for building new relationships with internal & target residents and fellows and their program office staff when available, as well as restoring and maintaining current relationships.  The Resident and Fellow Physician Recruiter assists and recruits for the Physician Recruitment Department by developing, coordinating, and facilitating resident and fellow relationships to achieve physician recruitment goals for Premier Health as a whole.


This role serves as the primary contact between residents and fellows and Premier Health and the physician recruitment team. The position will interact with all levels of the hospital from executives and physicians to service-line directors and operations directors and leadership from Premier Physician Network.  A consultative style of customer relationship management is the key to success in this role. 

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree


Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3  years of job-related experience

Prior job title or occupational experience: 2 years relevant experience required, including recruiting, consultative sales, business development, public relations, education, marketing, or customer service.

Preferred experience: Previous experience in a healthcare environment with proven success in customer/relationship management and working with physicians is preferred.



  • Ability to engage physicians and develop relationships. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).   
  • Ability to succinctly communicate relevant data to all levels of the organization. 
  • Assertiveness and tact.
  • Ability to manage multiple physician relationships.
  • Strong computer skills required.
