Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of completing orientation. ** RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Certification: Current BLS certification
Experience: A transition RN fellow is an RN who has, at minimum, one (1) year of experience practicing as an RN. The transition fellowship is designed to transition RNs who do not currently work in acute care to the hospital setting. This program is designed for candidates with backgrounds including (but not limited to): home health, school nursing, nursing instructors, long-term/extended care, public health, occupational health, and hospice.
