Demonstrate creative problem-solving when encountering unusual client needs or situations, barriers to access service, etc.

· Collaborate with internal and external team members from other disciplines when in doubt of appropriate linkage to services.

· Demonstrate competency in screening, triaging, and accurately defining the presenting problem and needs of client, using reflective listening, probing, rapport building, support and other clinical skills as indicated.

· Adhere to SBHI and clinical records standards. Assume responsibility for seeking consultation from the Program Director and other members of the management team for direction when not clear about documentation procedures.

· Communicate concise and appropriate information throughout assigned shift with supervisors, charge staff, school personnel and other team members.

· Record all services delivered accurately and in a timely manner so as to ensure that all SBHI productivity and revenue is captured.

· Communicate and perform with the consumer in mind by establishing and maintaining effective relationships to gain trust and respect.

· Make sound clinical decisions regarding the service needs of the patient, including appropriate referrals and by having a knowledge base of community resources.

· Respond and comply with all administrative/managerial e-mail communication within the requested timeframe.

· Administers evidence-based screening tools for depression, suicidal thoughts of harm, harmful alcohol and drug use and provides feedback to students and parents regarding associated risk levels.

· Ensures that all data is entered in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting on statistical information to the Montgomery County ADAMHS Board.

· May train other staff in the implementation of the SOS curriculum, data entry, and use of spreadsheets.

 

Qualifications

 

Education

 

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

                                          

Additional requirements:

§  Type of degree: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant social science, education, or criminal justice field.

§  Area of study or major: Experience with program delivery in a school-based environment and community organizing preferred.

§  Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree

§  Position specific testing requirement: N/A

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration

    

 

§  Valid Ohio driver’s license and dependable private vehicle is required.

§  Must achieve Prevention Certification within first 18 months. OCPSA – Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant

  • As applicable to job duties, Crisis De-escalation training is required on an annual basis.
  • As applicable to job duties, maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR.
