Speech Pathologist (PRN)

Under the general supervision of the department Supervisor in Rehabilitation Services and according to established policies and procedures, the speech Language Pathologist will:
- Plan, organize, conduct, and supervise Speech Language Pathology initial evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries
- Administer treatment for patients of all ages with disabilities to enable them to increase their functional capabilities
- Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel
- Participate in performance improvement, participate in case management, peer review and student supervision as appropriate
- Keep current with the latest techniques and research.
Qualifications:
- Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program certified by ASHA required.
- Current Speech Language Pathology license from the state of Ohio required.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA required.
- Requires effective communication skills and the ability to problem solve, plan, and Prioritize. Displays flexibility.
- Duties require independent judgment and decision making, and maintenance of confidentiality.
- Demonstrates acceptable work performance by exhibiting a positive and constructive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and skill in verbal and written expression.
- Abides by the Code of Ethical Conduct as defined by the ASHA Code of Ethics.
- CPR certification within six months of employment.
