Education
Minimum Level Required: Associate degree

Area of Study/Major: Preferred in Allied Health, Chemical Dependency, or Health Services-related field
Preferred Educational Qualifications: Associate Degree in Chemical Dependency, Allied Health, Social Services, or Social Work
Position-Specific Testing Requirement: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or obtain within first 6 months of employment
Experience
Minimum Required: 1–3 years of job-related experience
Prior Job Titles/Occupational Experience: Community Health Worker, Peer Recovery Supporter, Case Manager, or Emergency Department experience
Preferred Experience:
Medical terminology
Emergency department experience
Substance abuse case management

Knowledge/Skills
Understanding of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) as a medical condition
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
