Unit: Volunteer Services Department
Shift: 8:00am-5:00 pm
Status: Full-time/ 80 Hours Per Pay
Facility: Upper Valley Medical Center
Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, orienting, placing, scheduling, and supervising all hospital volunteers. Assists with preparing and monitoring the department budget and maintains all volunteer position descriptions and personnel files. Plans and conducts ongoing education and training programs for volunteers. Coordinates special requests for Volunteer Services, such as surveys and seminar support. Manages the volunteer recognition and awards program. Provides full administrative support to the Volunteer Board and Auxiliary and prepares monthly volunteer hour reports. Leads the planning and execution of major volunteer projects. Oversees all fundraising sales managed through Volunteer Services, including daily deposits, financial balancing, monthly spreadsheets, vendor invoices, and gift shop scheduling. Reports directly to the President of the UVMC Foundation and serves as the primary authority for the Volunteer Services Department.

· Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5-7 years relevant experience
· Prior job title or occupational experience:
· Prior specific functional responsibilities: Previous experience in program planning, coordination, project management and managing people. Experience working with older adults.
· Other experience requirements: Strong communication skills, both written and oral. High level of interaction with internal and external publics. Ability to speak effectively before groups and serves as the spokesperson for the organization. Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
Knowledge/Skills
