TEAM LEAD NIGHT MECHANIC

Education:    High school graduate or (GED) equivalent.  Associate degree HVAC, steam or similar completed formal certificate education program as approved by MVH PS&E preferred.

 License: Boiler operators license preferred.       

Experience:  5 years’ work experience on operating and maintaining steam boilers & steam systems, electrical, plumbing systems, and associated systems. Three years’ work experience as team leader or lead person.  Complete course on boilers.

Working knowledge of building/fire Codes, Joint Commission and Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), National electric code & Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Must have working knowledge of HVAV system, plumbing systems (i.e. steam systems). General knowledge of codes (JCAHO, NEC, OSHA, boilers).

Skills: Basic computer knowledge, excellent guest relations and communication skills (written And verbal). Must be trained on computers and software programs. Must be able to read and use blueprints, single line drawings and instruction manuals. Familiar with and trained or able to use all standard electrical tools, test instruments and specialized tools, meters.
