The Team Leader (TL) for the OR Service Line in Surgery has responsibilities for a dynamic functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and unit-based goals. The TL is responsible for providing overall coordination, direction, and strategic planning, for the OR Service Line. The TL works closely with all surgeons and surgical staff to develop processes to meet the Instrument and Inventory needs of the physicians and surgical staff to ensure safe and quality delivery of care to our patient customers while in the surgical environment. The TL also works closely with the Medical, Anesthesia, and Surgery Directors to establish the systems and structures needed to support the delivery of quality patient care. This position reports to the Nurse Manager of Surgery and works collaboratively with other members of the Surgical Services Management Team, Nursing Administration, Anesthesia Providers, Surgeons, Hospital Administration, and PH- System Administration.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
Minimum level of education required: Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
Licensure/Registration required:
Current Ohio Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
Current CPR certification
CNOR preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum level of experience: 3-5 years of job-related experience
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a circulating RN in the Operating Room. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Progress Leadership role
