THERAPIST CT ASSOCIATE-ICS
Therapist CT functions as a member of the Integrated Care Team to deliver outcome-effective treatment services. The Therapist delivers clinical mental health services and case coordination to adults, adolescents, youth, and their families. SBHI will pay Associate Therapist at the stated clinical rate for billable clinical mental health services delivered and documented and will pay the Associate Therapist at the stated Administrative rate for non-therapeutic approved administrative time documented.
Job duties:
Demonstrate adherence to the PHP/SBHI Patient Experience philosophy, guidelines and tools.
Demonstrate strong ethics, honesty, and adherence to PHP/SBHI Code of Conduct and PHP/SBHI Compliance Program.
Schedule, provide and document all clinical services accurately and according to departmental standards utilizing and documenting evidenced based practices.
Collaborate with referral source, internal team members and external educational and service providers to ensure appropriate patient care and continuity of care.
Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the appropriate clinical services and intervention methods provided to patients and their families.
Seek medical provider consultations regarding clinical needs of patients. Maintain on-going communication with medical providers for the purpose of coordinating and evaluating patient care.
Demonstrate strong customer satisfaction skills in the provision of clinical care services and in coordinating care with referral sources and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate knowledge of SBHI clinical records and assigned Program and other paperwork standards. Apply competencies to both the provision and documentation of clinical records including resolving failed activities and alerts within required timeframes.
Demonstrate compliance with agency standards for administration and reporting of outcome measures and documentation of utilization management of clinical care.
Demonstrate knowledge of other regulatory standards. Ensure that clinical records are maintained in compliance with these standards at all times.
Demonstrate knowledge of Information Technology policies and procedures. Apply them to the documentation of clinical care according to clinical records and other agency standards.
Ensure all credentialing paperwork for managed care and other reimbursement parties is maintained in compliance with standards.
Attend required staff meetings and trainings including annual Healthstream trainings. Participate in case conferences as needed.
Meet consistently with Program Supervisor and as needed to review clinical care of patients according to licensing and agency standards and agency supervision plan.
Participate and complete and correct monthly Peer Reviews.
Ensure productivity standards are met consistently as applicable to departmental standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a Mental Health field.
Counselor Trainee (CT) licensure status
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with children, parents, and professionals to provide information regarding the children’s needs and strengths and the development of appropriate services.
Physical abilities required include sufficient mobility, sufficient strength to lift/carry a young child, language skills, ability to utilize emergency physical interventions, and to perform written paperwork (manual or automated).
Training and experience in the types of services provided by the team, with age appropriate competency, using the Diagnostic and Statistical manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5 or subsequent revisions).
WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
There is generally a pleasant physical environment; however, unpleasant conditions may include frequent interruptions, difficulty controlling office temperatures, heavy workload demands and constantly changing regulations and standards.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to talk and/or hear, to sit, stand, and walk; use the hands to finger, handle, and/or feel and be able to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, and peripheral vision and the ability to focus visually.
Some flexibility in scheduling is expected to meet changing SBHI business needs. This may require employees to work different days/hours or stay beyond their normal shift.
Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively within a team as demonstrated by effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability in basic computer literacy skills.
Influenza vaccination is required on an annual basis.
Physical harm may result from aggressive or physically ill clients. Aggressive client training and adherence to universal precautions helps to minimize the risk of physical harm.
As applicable to job duties, valid Ohio driver’s license and/or dependable private vehicle is required.
As applicable to job duties, Crisis De-escalation training is required on an annual basis.
As applicable to job duties, maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR
