CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER - PPN

Responsibilities of the role include:

·         Continuously monitor outcome measures and develop action plans when necessary

·         Participate in utilization review and peer review

·         Partner with Quality and Clinical teams to ensure high-value care is delivered to patients, minimizing unnecessary expenditures and maximizing quality

·         Actively support physician participation and implementation of quality and service improvement initiatives

·         Support physician engagement through outreach as well as performance improvement activities

·         Develop, update and maintain clinical standards and care paths

·         Support the development of physician and advanced practice RN/physician assistant leaders

·         Partner with physicians, APPs and other system administration to support strategic plans and endeavors

·         Manage assigned medical director contracts and helps establish yearly quality metrics to help drive desired results

·         Participate in hospital and system committees

·         Provide insight and best practice consultation to clinical leadership as it relates to the service aspects of the patient experience.

·         Coach and mentor physicians and staff to perform to standards of excellence

·         Lead continuous quality improvement efforts

·         Facilitate cross-functional and functional problem resolutions and lead cross-functional committees

·         Solicit staff and physician input to determine priorities and required resources

•          Partner with the Dean of Wright State University's School of Medicine/Premier Health Chief Academic Officer to support graduate medical             education, undergraduate medical education, and allied health programs. Ensure alignment of academic programs with quality     initiatives/compliance with system policies and procedures.
