DIR-VOLUNTEER SERVICES-MVH
The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for the Volunteer department, the Gift Shops at MVH Main and South, the Adult, Student and Volunteen programs, and all of Mail Services for the Premier Health system. S/he is responsible for successful recruitment, on-boarding, and placement of volunteers throughout the organization. S/he is responsible for all regulatory requirements for volunteers, as well as the volunteer database. S/he collaborates with Nursing and the University of Dayton to place students in the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP). This program provide opportunities for pre-med students to gain exposure and experience with Geriatric patients 70 and older, to help prevent the on-set of hospital acquired dementia. S/he works in partnership with hospital staff, high schools, universities, and community organizations.S/he serves as a spokesperson for the organization. S/he also has responsibility for the Gift Shops, which are a revenue source and provide customer service for patients, families, visitors, physicians, and employee. S/he is also responsible for all Mail Services at Premier Health.

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5 - 7 years of job related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: Progressive leadership experience
Prior specific functional responsibilities: Extensive experience working directly with Volunteers.
Other experience requirements: Strong communication, planning and execution of strategies
