Education: Associate Degree w/2-4 years job experience & EPIC certification within 6 months of position required.

Bachelor Degree w/0-4 years job experience & EPIC certification within 6 months of position required.
IT area of study or related area required. Related areas of study include Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
Licensure: Not Applicable
Certification: Project Management Certification is encouraged
Experience: Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and good analytical and documentation skills

Specific Competencies:
· Provides an understanding of application/network/server/AS400/Mainframe etc. troubleshooting by the following:
o Know the application platform and database for each application supported
o Demonstrates the ability to use all appropriate tools (such as PCAnywhere, Proxy, etc.) to aid application issue resolution
o Know where and what to look for when monitoring the application on a server to verify a backup was done
· Demonstrates an understanding of Active Directory (AD) for applications that use AD for security
· Knows, understands and provides input to the Disaster Recovery plan for each application he/she supports
· Monitors Information Systems operating parameters for compliance guidelines
· Implements and maintains notification process/procedures for equipment failures and performance degrading situations
· Maintains service recovery procedures
