HEALTH CAREERS PRTNERSHIP CRD
This role will serve as a triad coordinator between Wright State University’s Center for Health Professions, the Premier Health Workforce Development team and Premier Health’s Learning Institute. Responsibility includes bridging the gap between academia and practical experience in healthcare fields, enhancing WSU’s students' career readiness and professional development, and generating pipelines for Premier’s workforce needs. This position will be exclusively dedicated to student and workforce activities that support the affiliation between Wright State University and Premier Health. While reporting directly to the Manager of Talent and Workforce development, there will be a dotted line reporting matrix to the Director of Clinical Education at Premier Health and the Director of the WSU Center for Health Professions.
1. Develop Partnerships- Establish and maintain relationships between Premier Health and Wright State University to foster collaboration in student programs.
2. Identify Opportunities- Research and identify experiential learning opportunities within Premier Health, including internships, co-ops, and shadowing experiences for students.
3. Facilitate Communication- Serve as the primary point of contact between students, health professions staff, and Premier Health representatives to ensure clear communication regarding available opportunities.
4. Organize Events-Plan and coordinate workshops, career fairs, and informational sessions to promote health system career pathways and experiential learning options.
5. Students Connections- Provide guidance and support to students in exploring career options within the health system and assist in the application process for internships and job placements.
6. Create Resources- In conjunction with marketing and advertising at both organizations, develop informational materials and resources for students that highlight available opportunities and career paths in healthcare.
7. Monitor Progress-Track and evaluate student participation in experiential learning and other career exploration opportunities and gather feedback to improve future programs.
8. Collaborate with WSU Center for Health Professions Director and staff to align on academic programs, curriculum and co-curricular activities.
9. Conduct Outreach- Engage in outreach activities to promote health career opportunities to students.
10. Report Outcomes- Prepare reports on student engagement, outcomes of experiential learning programs, and overall effectiveness of the liaison role to share with both Premier Health and the Center for Health Professions.
11. Keep abreast of the emerging workforce trends and developments in the healthcare industry and higher education to better inform students and enhance partnership initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, Education, Organizational Development, or other related field or will consider 7+ years of experience in a student facing/advising position in lieu of degree
- 1-3 years of job-related experience in workforce or talent development, career advising or higher education
- Master’s degree preferred
- HR or workforce development certification preferred

6. Networking Abilities-Skills in networking and establishing partnerships with employers, community organizations, and other educational institutions.
7. Project Management Skills-Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and effective collaboration.
8. Analytical Skills-Capacity to analyze data and trends related to workforce needs and educational outcomes, using this information to inform program development.
9. Cultural Competence-Awareness of and sensitivity to diverse populations, ensuring that programs are inclusive and address the needs of all students and employers.
10. Problem-Solving Skills-- Ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions that benefit both the university and employers.
11. Knowledge of Educational Systems-Familiarity with the academic structure of health professions programs and the regulatory requirements for various healthcare roles.
12. Marketing and Outreach Skills-Ability to promote the externship program and other initiatives effectively to potential employers and students.
