Organizational Standards
§
Oversees and performs ICD-10 coding by
reviewing clinical documentation received with referrals and assigning
appropriate codes.
§
Provides ongoing education and
training on proper use of ICD-10 codes in a home health setting to
administrative and resource employees.
§
Must maintain knowledge and competency
in the use of computer information systems necessary to perform job duties.
§
Pursues ongoing education and training
in ICD-10 training as it applies to home health care.
§
Facilitates interdepartmental
communications and cooperation to ensure appropriate coding.
§
Participates in audit activities for
compliance issues.
§
Acts as a role model for customer
service activities for both internal and external customers.
§
Monitors and coordinates with
supervisors and management regarding trends with individual clinicians.
