Organizational Standards

for physician practice after hour’s patient calls, including all documentation
completion during on call week coverage.

Documents
all phone calls in EPIC, Access Data Base, Physician After Hour’s tracking
log.

Responsible
for continuing physician after hour’s call competency by working one shift per
month (for prn as needed for coverage.)
§
Demonstrates
the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external
customers to ensure quality customer service.

Essential

The
Physician After Hours Nurse addresses caller’s level of need with appropriate
level of response. Ensures after hour’s
customer satisfaction. (physician providers, patient and/or family
members.) Must be self -directed and
able to effectively prioritize. Must have ability to independently make
decisions necessary to ensure patient wellbeing. Facilitates communication
between all appropriate physician providers and patient and/or family members.
