Position: Physician Issue Resolution Program Manager
Department: Medical Staff Office
Shift: 8AM-5PM
Status: Full-time/ 80 hours per pay period
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
The Physician Liaison serves as a link between the hospital and medical staff with the ability to exhibit a cooperative corporate attitude and resolve issues in a positive manner. The Physician Liaison is charged with actively building positive relationships with medical staff, anticipating medical staff needs, and providing services that enhance the Physician’s experience and relationship with MVH and PHP. The position also is charged with listening and accurately assessing physician questions, issues, and situations and developing responses that utilize physician input that is incorporated into any action plans.
Physician Liaison manages day to day physician issues, and tracks issue resolution timelines, trending data and ensures issues are brought to conclusion. The Physician Liaison meets on a regular basis with the CEO, COO and Medical Staff Department Heads for information sharing purpose.
The position is also responsible for building new relationships with internal & target physicians and their office staff, as well as restoring and maintaining current relationships. One primary goal of the position is to continue to earn and maintain the business of physicians so that Miami Valley Hospital becomes their first choice as a provider partner. The Physician Liaison develops coordinated service-line sales and referral activities to achieve volume/revenue goals for Miami Valley Hospital. Activities target top admitters, new physicians and those physicians who split their business between this hospital and competing entities. Liaison develops long and short term strategies related to service line objectives, issue resolution, retention of existing business and development of new business.
Education
Graduate of accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree required
5 years relevant experience required. Relevant experience includes consultative sales, business development, public relations, education or marketing.
Previous experience in a healthcare environment with proven success in customer/relationship management and working with physicians is preferred.
