Education: Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organizational Development or a related field.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  PHR preferred

Experience: 1 - 3  years of Human Resources or Recruiter experience required. Prior HRIS, applicant tracking system (Taleo), behavioral based interviewing, candidate screening and sourcing preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

 

  • The ability to apply principles, practices, and procedures for recruitment activities.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data/information in order to measure recruitment and retention activities and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of employment law and other government compliance regulations.
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, ATS systems and familiarity with HRIS systems; picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential/sensitive information.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues by using judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law.
  • Must be able to organize, multi-task and prioritize work; uses time effectively and efficiently; can attend to a broader range of activities.
  • Must be able to produce clear and succinct written and oral communication in a timely manner.
  • Solves problems with peers, and is cooperative, collaborative, and a team player.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, has the ability to act with customers in mind.  
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; is effective in a variety of formal presentations; is effective both inside and outside of the organization. 
  • Experience with behavioral interviewing preferred

Essential Duties & Functions:

Processing and posting personnel requisitions, candidate identification activities (searching and reviewing resumes), pipeline development, screening and interviewing candidates, consulting with hiring managers, delivering confidential and sensitive messages to candidates, employees and hiring managers, calculating offers, documenting hiring process, generating offers and starting the pre-employment and hiring process, attending and planning/coordinating career/job fairs, and delivering employee orientation.
